The CM series actuators are the flagship models at SCHIEBEL. They were developed especially for complex applications needing high-powered actuators that require minimal space. With this 3 level concept, the customer can design the perfect actuator.
Regardless of application, valve type or area of use, the CM Series of actuators may also be used in conjunction with additional gear mechanisms. The interface to the valve conforms with ASME/ISO standards and meets every need. Alternatively, any customer requirement can be fulfilled or adapted to existing valve fittings.
The AB series is the traditional product and is being used with great success by satisfied customers across the globe. This product series is constantly being further developed and optimized for the widest variety of applications. The highly robust construction of these actuators also makes them the top choice for heavy-duty applications. Technical innovations are always integrated into the AB series, so it is always state of the art.

The SCHIEBEL failsafe technology is based on the idea of combining an electrical actuator with a purely mechanical safety function that operates independently of the power supply. If the power fails, fittings can be put in a predefined position in less than one second. It takes just a few steps to design the ideal failsafe actuator.
According to an externally-conducted FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostic Coverage Analysis), the Failsafe actuator achieves a safety integrity level of 3.
Failsafe actuators are generally adapted to customer requirements in terms of actuating force (operating torque), travel distances and positioning time characteristics in normal and failsafe operation.
Smartcon is a modern, reliable and versatile control system that provides valuable information about the integrated actuator technology. Initially developed to combine aspects such as user friendliness, flexibility and reliability in a single control system, it has been optimized over the years with numerous additional features but its fundamental virtues remain totally intact.
These factors were also of key importance in optimization for SCHIEBEL, and the SMARTCON 2.0 now comes with the following new features:
-Display optimization (size, rotation, LED-RGB display, display illumination).
-5 + 1 binary inputs (24 V DC, 48 V DC and 60 V DC).
-Binary outputs with higher performance (24 V DC), e.g. for supplying power to an external additional sensor.
-2 analog outputs + 2 analog inputs.
-Improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
-Remote operation capability of the control unit.
